When we set out to host our first Dog Days of Stockholm event back in 2010, we could have never imagined the number of families and animals whose lives would bechanged as a result. Our mission to find good homes for homeless dogs touched many hearts, and through the help and support of many wonderful people and organizations, the event was a catalyst that led to hundreds of dog adoptions.
The Human-Animal Bond Lecture Series explores the human-animal bond and raises awareness that the bond includes companion animals, production animals and wildlife. Featured speaker Roo Yori made his debut on Season Eight of American Ninja Warrior as the "K-9 Ninja." Yori will share his experiences as an American Ninja Warrior competitor and discuss his campaign to change the way people think about pit bulls and shelter animals.
Roo and Angus visited students at Bamber Valley & Longfellow Elementary. They met Angus, a rescue dog, to learn how to safely interact with dogs.
The Kindness is Powerful event is aimed to teach kids to treat dogs with kindness.

Roo visited Washington Elementary School March 8, 2017 for their Celebrity Mystery Reader Program which encourages reading among the students.

I’ve always loved watching American Ninja Warrior, and knew it was a popular show. Clara and I don’t have kids though, so I never realized how popular it was with the younger generations. In case you didn’t know this either, it’s really popular!! They know their stuff, too!
